Beach Street is a proper family. Benny has been teaching my daughter to skate for the last two Summers and she's loved it! We're all really close and this is why this robbery hurt us all and why we had to help out.

Hey folks! We have some building works happening at Beach Street Felixstowe over the next few weeks which means a few changes 🤔👍

Tuesday and Wednesday for this week and next, the Dodo will be open and Hopsters will be closed.

But do not fear, we'll be back open for the weekend!

☀️ UPDATE - council have contacted to say only emails that have the persons full name & address will be considered. Also it needs to refer to the Arena & events as that is the specific review. Otherwise they are ignored. Please edit & resend if you can! Thx in advance

Beach Street’s premises licence is being reviewed following a noise complaint. We need everyone who values what we bring to Felixstowe to share their experience with the council.

We respect our neighbours and take noise concerns seriously. But we strongly challenge any suggestion that Beach Street is a constant source of late-night disturbance.

Here’s the context:

▪️ Our larger events are occasional, with most starting around 1–2pm.
▪️ Several finish by 7.30–8pm. Only a handful each year run until 10–10.30pm.
▪️ Music and entertainment have been an established part of Beach Street’s calendar for years.
▪️ We’ve met with residents, engaged with the council and carried out sound checks to help address concerns.

The full picture matters. Beach Street supports independent businesses, local jobs, performers and traders. It brings families together, attracts visitors and gives people a reason to spend time on Felixstowe’s seafront.

💬 Please submit your comments directly to the council using the link below. Describe your own experience—events you’ve attended, the atmosphere, and what you’ve personally observed about how they’re run, including noise and finishing times where relevant.
