Krontiras Áfron - Sparkling Rosé, Argentina (organic)

A Greek couple built this w**ery in the foothills of the Andes, and they didn’t do it by halves, the whole cellar was designed around the golden ratio and sacred geometry, treating the building itself as part of the w**emaking process.

This particular bottle is a pét-nat made from Aglianico, a grape you’d usually associate with southern Italy rather than Argentina, but one that’s taken remarkably well to the Mendoza climate. It’s natural, unfined and unfiltered, so a little sediment is normal, not a flaw.

Beyond that, it’s an easy, breezy glass built for slow afternoons rather than special occasions.

Corralillo Garnacha — Chile (2022, organic)

This one comes from Matetic, one of the pioneers of organic and biodynamic w**emaking on Chile’s coast, farming a valley just 18km from the Pacific - close enough that the sea air genuinely shapes how the grapes ripen.

The family’s Croatian immigrants who settled in Chile generations ago and eventually found their way into w**e, which feels fitting for a bottle built entirely around a sense of place.

Fourteen months in French oak gives it a ruby colour, a herbal, faintly earthy nose, and notes of raspberry and cherry underneath.

Good with roasted meats, aged cheeses, or a balsamic-dressed salad.

Abeica Chulato - Rioja

Most people think Tempranillo when they think Rioja, and fair enough, it’s the grape that built the region’s reputation. But Garnacha’s quietly been Rioja’s best-kept secret for years, genetically, some researchers reckon the Ebro valley might actually be the grape’s original home, long before it spread across the rest of Europe.

This one leans into that side of Rioja: bright wild berry, mountain herb, a touch of orange tea and bergamot, with chalky tannins keeping it lively rather than heavy.

Good alongside charcuterie, seafood, or a spread of tapas.

We’re down to the last bottle in the shop, so it’s first come, first served on this one.

Yokel Rosé — Swan Valley, Western Australia (2022)

Swan Valley is the oldest w**e region in Western Australia, first planted back in 1829, and it’s also one of the hottest w**e-growing regions on the planet; which is roughly why so much of what comes out of it, this rosé included, has that ripe, sun-soaked character to it.

The tortoise on the label isn’t just a nice bit of branding either: it’s the critically endangered western swamp tortoise, native to that same valley, and a portion of every bottle sold goes toward protecting it.

Today we’re saying goodbye to a very special member of the Kernow**e family ❤️

Yesterday was Jess’s last day with us, and while we’re so excited for her next adventure, we’re going to miss her more than words can say.

Jess has been such a huge part of our team, bringing hard work, positivity, laughter, and so many great memories along the way. Her next chapter takes her all the way to Boston, and although Cornwall won’t be quite the same without her, we know she’s going to do amazing things.

Thank you, Jess, for everything you’ve done ✨ We’re so grateful for all the time, effort, and friendship you’ve given us.

Wishing you nothing but happiness, success, and adventure as you start this exciting new journey. Boston is lucky to have you ✈️🇺🇸
