A little lunchtime creativity from our kitchen ✨

From Thursday to Saturday, our chefs serve their Chef’s Table Set Menu at lunchtime, with regularly changing specials showcasing seasonal ingredients and plenty of creativity from the kitchen.

Recent dishes have included Confit chicken breast with glazed king oyster mushroom, fondant potato, pickled baby beets, tarragon velouté & Parmesan crisp; Chargrilled rump of beef with dauphinoise, wild mushrooms, roasted heritage tomato & red wine jus; and, most recently, seafood & chorizo paella. 🤍

With our specials constantly evolving, there’s always something new to discover.

Don’t miss the chance to experience our chefs’ creativity at a set price of £29.50 for 2 courses or £34.50 for 3 courses.

As the seasons begin to change, so does our menu at La Mar. 🍂

Moving into autumn, our chefs are introducing new flavours, ingredients and dishes that reflect the season — while keeping the creativity and attention to detail at the heart of La Mar.

One of the newest additions is our Tandoori Monkfish “Taco” — served with guacamole, pico salsa, tapioca cracker and pickled shallots.

And this is just one of many new dishes making their way onto the menu…

An Evening of Beaujolais at La Mar 🍷

This November, La Mar is delighted to introduce a very special Beaujolais Tasting Evening, taking place on Thursday 19th November.

For one evening only, our chefs have created a six-course tasting menu, with each course thoughtfully paired with a carefully selected wine — from Crémant de Bourgogne and Beaujolais Blanc to Beaujolais Nouveau, Chénas, Fleurie and Sauternes.

We’ll also be joined by our good friend Jack Pickering from Regency Wines, who will be presenting the wines throughout the evening, sharing his knowledge and guiding our guests through each pairing.

A celebration of beautiful food, exceptional wine and the arrival of the new Beaujolais — all overlooking Exmouth Marina.

Thursday 19th November | One night only
£125 per person, including wine pairing

Guest arrival at 6:30pm | Dinner served at 7pm

There’s something rather special about the first Tuesday of the month at La Mar… ✨

Our monthly Tapas Night returns on Tuesday 1st September, bringing together an evening of beautiful food, relaxed drinks and live music overlooking Exmouth Marina.

Doors open from 5pm, with live music throughout the evening as you settle in, share a selection of tapas and enjoy the atmosphere by the water. 🥂🎶

We have just a few tables remaining for September, so early booking is highly recommended.

Today we’re celebrating our Junior Sous Chef, Jude, on his birthday! 🎂🥂

Jude’s story actually started in his teenage years, when he joined Maisie’s team as a Kitchen Porter and took his very first steps into the world of hospitality.

From there, Jude went on to work in a Michelin-starred restaurant, where he gained experience and developed his skills before finding his way back to where it all began.

Earlier this spring, Jude returned to La Mar — this time as part of the kitchen team — to support the people who helped him start his career. ❤️
