Perched on the edge of the historic Exeter Quayside, we are housed on the ground floor of a magnificent 19th century warehouse. The industry is now a distant memory, but the Exeter Quay is still a hive of activity and interest, popular with locals and holidaymakers alike. Our restaurant offers a selection of tempting lunch and dinner dishes - from our well renowned pizzas to fresh fish, meats, pastas and salads - while our extensive bar offers a selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. ❤️ WHILE WE STILL HAVE ON THE WATERFRONT…

After 20 years of independently running On The Waterfront, Punch Pubs have decided not to renew our lease and will be taking the venue back in early January.

But until then, we still have three months left — and we want to use some of that time to do a little bit of good in our local community. ❤️

So, over the next few months, alongside business continuing completely as normal, we’re going to be doing some random acts of kindness.

We started on Tuesday evening by dropping off a load of our famous pizzas and chips to Crossline, who provide food and support for people in need.

This one was particularly special for us because right at the start of the first Covid lockdown, Crossline was one of the places we delivered our pizzas to.

Throughout Covid we tried to do our bit wherever we could, giving away pizzas to hospitals, soup kitchens and other local organisations — so it felt really nice to return to Crossline all these years later and do it again.

And judging by the message we received afterwards, they went down pretty well! They had people waiting an hour before opening and more than 30 guests came through during the evening. ❤️🍕

This isn’t going to be a one-off.

While we still have On The Waterfront, we want to keep doing little things like this over the next three months — sometimes for charities and community organisations, sometimes for individuals, and sometimes just because we can.

We won’t necessarily announce them beforehand. That’s part of the fun.

We’ve been part of Exeter for a long time, and Exeter has been incredibly good to us.

So while we’ve still got the keys, we’re going to make the most of them. ❤️

And for everyone else — it’s very much business as normal at On The Waterfront for the rest of 2026.

The pizzas are still coming out of the oven, the cocktails are still being poured, and we’ve still got Christmas parties, brunches, birthdays, events and plenty more memories to make.

❤️🍕 Three months to go. Let’s make them count.

It’s amazing to see how much the On The Waterfront means to so many different people — and to see our little corner of Exeter Quay captured like this is something we’ll treasure.
