Announcement! It’s a sign of spring being just around the corner when people start talking about the 6 Nations. It’s all the talk of the Brewery and we can’t wait for it all to start next week.
Our lovely Tap Room in the Exeter Brewery will be exclusively showing all the England games live on our BIG gigantic screen. Starting On Saturday 7th Feb with the clash against Wales. Opening an hour before kick-off for great ales including our Grubber – delicious half time pasties and of course all the action. New Year New start? Building on the success of a very busy year we are looking for an additional person to join our Management Team. This is a permanent position with flexible hours. The Hour Glass has a great reputation for fantastic food and drink, quirky atmosphere and massive following of loyal customers. The friendly, fun vibe is unbeatable, and reflects the helpful, cheerful attitude of our staff.
We are looking for someone who can support our vision of providing an attentive, relaxed environment, supporting the well-established kitchen team by ensuring great table service, combined with curating a buoyant bar scene full of salty locals.

Working alongside our existing team, management duties will include training staff and supporting the FOH team, day-to-day operational tasks, some IT, including developing our social media presence. In return, we offer a competitive salary, share of the service charge and many staff benefits.

We’ve introduced a true classic to our menu ‘burnt cream’

We are throwing our hat in the ring and calling this an English classic developed in Cambridge in 1630 at trinity college where the college crest was branded onto the sugar topping.
