On the 10th October the unthinkable happened and the world lost one of the most caring and kindest people you could meet. One of the truly good guys.

It was through his talent as the front man of Wolf Jaw that we first met lighting up the stage in the early days of The Iron Road. An impact that never faded leading them to be the first band we signed to Iron Road Talent Management.

We had huge plans for the future and were so excited to hit the road next month, but his biggst plans were for his young family, who are now trying to deal with his sudden loss at just 33 years of age. Please help us help them in any way you can.

So let's state the simple fact. Out of 13000 people who like this page we need to find just 950 people that the survival of The Iron Road is worth £100 to, or 1900 people with £50 etc etc. If we make this The Iron Road Live will keep bringing the live music for another 10 years at least.

To all the Bands, Managers, Promoters and Booking Agents

We desperately need your help.

In the space of 6 years, 2014-2020 The Iron Road hosted over 1800 bands, over 1500 of them ORIGINAL MUSIC, paying fees to bands totalling over half a million pounds.

Now due to Covid it faces permanent closure without raising £95000 a figure that would secure a lease for 10 years and bring the venue up to date. Would your business donating £100 really be a donation or simply an investment in a decade of gig fees, burgers and beers?

Yes we need to raise a lot of money but if we make it we will know The Iron Road has at least 10 more years of bringing great live music to you all, back in our own home. Most importantly we will know you our customers want it.

If you have any questions or concerns before pledging, please don't hesitate to message me or the page.

The Crowdfunder is set so we will not receive any money unless we raise all the money by beginning of August, we have a target of being open by Halloween. Anybody wishing to do fundraising events can also set these up via Crowdfunder. Crazily if just 7.5% of you can spare £100 we are there lol

So at midday tomorrow our Crowdfunder starts. We will either raise enough money to bring you a state of the art venue in a permanent home or The Iron Road closed for the last time on Saturday 14th March 2020. Whichever way things go we will know in 8 weeks time.

Announcement!

A few weeks ago I said I was going to make an announcement about the future of The Iron Road following Covid, I didn't at the time in the end because I still wasn't happy with what continuing would mean.

As the business received no government support at all due to the timing of the pandemic close to having just moved premises, by October I knew the business had no way to be in the financial position to continue, I thought I had come to terms with that. Then as restrictions started to ease I was gutted The Iron Road wasn't part of the reopening. Nearly as gutted as many of you I have spoken with.

I planned to announce I would start a Crowdfunder in order to raise the funds necessary to get reopen, that at the time was my only focus. However the more I thought about it the more unhappy I became with the idea. When in Evesham, The Iron Road, became highly regarded because the sound quality exceeded all expectations for the venue and the atmosphere was incredible, every customer was part of a family of music lovers. As soon as the venue moved to a temporary home it lost this atmosphere and I lost control of certain parts of the business that are very important to me. I can no longer continue in a temporary home, to give the full Iron Road customer experience we either need to control all aspects of the business or I close the business for good and walk away with some amazing memories.

So .....

During lockdown I have learnt so much about what is achievable when the goal is to make entering a room a fully immersible experience, The Iron Road led the way with it's Livestream last July and in my opinion no one managed to improve on what it delivered, however I know how it could have been improved. If The Iron Road is to continue it will only be as a state of the art facility for the modern age, joining together the production values for a live performance and those of a TV studio to bring a customer experience that you feel completely immersed in, using audio/video technology to take the atmosphere to new levels, whilst still being completely focused on being a LIVE MUSIC venue.

Add to this the quality products on the bar, staff that share your love of live music, the after parties and let's not forget the Big Buns Burgers ;)

I can only achieve this in a permanent home, I have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that this can be delivered and design the venue. Next week I will release a walkthrough rendering of how the venue will look and then the following week the Crowdfunder campaign will start. If the required funds are raised I look forward to seeing you at the bar, if not I'm sure we will have a beer and share some memories at someone else's.
