Once all the wallpaper has been stripped off, dig out any cracks that are underneath and sand down the wall to ensure a smooth wall before anything else.
You will need to fill in any cracks that you have dug out, then sand these down again.
If there is no damp coming through the exterior walls it is ready for sizing.
It is recommended to use the same paste as you are going to use for the wallpaper so there is no reaction.
If the exterior walls does look like damp is coming through, you will need to seal the walls.
If the wall still looks extremely wet, you will need to look further into the problem.
*Sealing the interior wall may NOT cure the problem if it still looks wet, it will still reappear later on down the line*
