Wishing Good luck to the U14 team and management in today’s league final.

On Thursday evening (10th October) we placed a sign on the belcoo road wishing good luck to the u14 team in their league final.
Within 3 hours of it being put up someone ripped it down and now it’s nowhere to be seen.

As a family business we like to support our local teams and enjoy the build up to exciting finals.
It is very disappointing and disheartening when we go to the effort to get signs of support made for our U14 team and they are mindlessly torn down and destroyed!
It’s not kind, it’s not community spirited and it’s just rude! 😢

But we got 2 made…….so we hope the team and management see our message of support from the one still standing

Well done Barts 👏🏼

Huge congratulations to Barts O'Brien who this evening received the Club Volunteer Award at the 2023 Fermanagh Club All Stars ceremony.

Barts has given a lifetime of service to the GAA and there is no more deserving winner and we are forever grateful to have him as one of our own.

Barts had a distinguished playing career, playing senior football for the club from 1981 through to the noughties. During this period he collected five Fermanagh Senior Championship and five Senior League titles.
He played for Fermanagh for the best part of a decade, captaining the side in the early 1990's.

Barts became involved in coaching and management in 1998 and was part of management teams for the best part of twenty years, managing our ladies, reserve and senior teams during this time as well as our U21 teams.

At club officer level, his first appointment was as a delegate to the county board back in 1985 and he has been a member of the Club Executive since 1990 and has been an ever present since.

Barts currently serves as club groundsman and puts a huge amount of work in behind the scenes in this role to keep our grounds in immaculate condition. He also currently serves as a delegate to the county board and is a Club Trustee.

Barts' commitment to the club is unwavering and he continues to work for the club in his quiet, unassuming and friendly manner.

A volunteer like no other, Barts embodies everything that is good about the GAA. Congratulations Barts on a thoroughly deserved award, from everyone associated with the club!

Adult pool league starting this Friday night!

A huge weekend lies ahead for our senior teams.

Our men are first up as they aim to retain their senior championship status in the relegation playoff.

And the big one as the ladies aim to bring home the Junior Championship trophy.
Sunday, 8th October
v Béal Cú O'Raghallaigh
📍 Derrygonnelly

Get those flags out to show your support for both teams, and more importantly make your way to Derrygonnelly on Saturday and Sunday to cheer them on 🔵⚪

The Club is hosting its first Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir from 7.30pm on Friday, 22 September in the Gillaroo Court. A great night of cultural entertainment is planned. All welcome including musicians to join in the craic agus ceol.
