Really sad to say that Steph Lewis has sadly passed away.
Steph was a familiar face at Madisons and someone who a lot of people here will have known, shared a drink with, danced with, sang with, and most importantly made memories with over the years.
He’ll be missed by us all.
Thinking of his family and friends at this heartbreaking time.
Rest easy, Steph. ❤️

Customer Notice

We just wanted to let our customers know that Madisons will be closed to the public tomorrow (Wednesday), as we are hosting a private funeral which will be using the whole venue.

We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends attending tomorrow, and we thank our customers for allowing us the space to host them privately and respectfully.

We will reopen as normal on Thursday.

A heartfelt thank you from all of us at Madisons

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came together for the fundraiser in memory of young Kanan-Jay.

To everyone who attended, donated money, gave prizes, offered their time, helped organise, ran stalls, bought raffle tickets, shared the event, or supported in any way — thank you. Your kindness and generosity made the day possible.

The total raised was just shy of £2,000, so we've rounded it up to £2,000 for the family.

While the reason behind the day was incredibly sad, it was also a powerful reminder of what our town and community can do when people come together. Everyone involved should be proud of the part they played.

Madisons has always been at the heart of the local community, and days like this show exactly what a pub is meant to be — a place where people come together, support each other, and stand beside local families when it matters most.

With the blessing and support of the family, we were honoured to help host the day, and we are truly grateful to every single person who helped make it such a special and meaningful event.
