Moray Jazz Club encourages young musicians an their have been a number of school workshops over the years, Some of the up and coming, young adult players make regular visitors in a variety of bands. A Moray Jazz Club band featuring Roger Niven- guitar, John Sharkey- Tenor Sax, recently had an outstanding gig at Belladrum on the Ice House/Jazz Bar Stage. The happy and sun blasted audience thoroughly enjoyed the blend of modern jazz and funk and even joined in the off-beat clapping of Unsquare Dance by Dave Brubeck.
