After the success of our inaugural Ladies Pool Open last year, we’re delighted to announce that The New Club Ladies Pool Open is back for 2026! 🏆✨

📅 Saturday 3rd October 2026
🕐 1:00pm Start
📍 The New Club, Elgin
🎟️ Entry: £10

Last October saw a fantastic day of pool at The New Club, with Angela Tidball producing an incredible run through the second-chance side of the draw before defeating Susan Collins in the final to become our very first Ladies Pool Open Champion. 🏆

Now it’s time to do it all again.

Whether you’re an experienced competitive player, play socially, or simply fancy getting involved in your first competition, everyone is welcome.

The event is all about showcasing and growing the ladies’ side of the game while providing a friendly, enjoyable day of competitive pool. 🎱🙌

📋 FORMAT – DOUBLE ELIMINATION

Players will have a second chance if they lose their opening match:

🎱 Winners Side: 20-minute matches
🎱 Losers Side: 15-minute matches
🎱 Lose twice and you’re out

The double-elimination format means one defeat doesn’t end your day — something our reigning champion knows all about after battling back through the losers side to win last year’s title!

Davie McHardy — Final Send Off ❤️

Davie’s family have asked us to share that they will be at the club tomorrow from 16:30 to give Davie a final send off.

🏆 SHAUN HENDRY TAKES EVENT 8! 🏆

After taking last week’s runners-up spot, Shaun Hendry goes one better this week, defeating Nate Winkler in the final to claim his second event win of the series! 🎯

Shaun reached the final after getting the better of John Herriott in the semi-final, with both players having gone 3 wins from 3 in their respective groups. A fantastic battle between two players in top form!

In the other semi-final, Nate Winkler faced Paul Shaughnessy. Paul had shown great form throughout the night, going unbeaten in his group. Nate also won his opening two matches before eventually falling to his nemesis Ian Hopkinson. Despite the setback, Nate regrouped brilliantly to defeat Paul and book his place in the final.

Another fantastic performance from Shaun sees him stretch his lead at the top of the standings and all but secure that coveted number 1 seed for Finals Day. 👑

👏 Congratulations Shaun!

🎯 Unlucky to Nate on another runners-up finish. Don’t be disheartened though — that first win is surely just around the corner!

We head into Event 8 with Shaun Hendry now the clear leader after his run to the final last week. 👏

Callum Wood also dragged himself into the Top 16 with last week’s win, putting himself firmly in the mix. 🔥
