Did you know that more than half of our cocktail range can also be enjoyed totally non-alcoholic?

In fact, our entire Sköll menu was built non-alc first (but can be adapted to be boozy).

It was incredibly important to us that whatever your drinking preferences, you can experience the Norse mythos through our unique, immersive and flavourful cocktails.

And we haven't even mentioned our range of non-alc draught beers, canned beers, wines, spirits, mixers and classics! There's plenty to enjoy at Sköll & Hati ☀️ 🐺 🌙 🐺

Who was Mimir?
(And why do we have a severed head hanging on our wall?)

Mimir, the Rememberer, was an advisor to the Aesir and keeper of secrets. But following a deceitful trade of hostages at the close of the Aesir-Vanir war, he was beheaded by the vengeful Vanir and only his head returned to Odin.

Determined not to lose such a powerful Ally, Odin saught magic and special herbs to revive and preserve the head. He set the head down upon Mimisbrunnr, the well of knowledge, where Mimir can continue to offer his council and preserve wisdom and intelligence throughout the realms.

For now though, we have borrowed Mimir's head so that he can regale us with tales of Gods and Giants, and we can pass those tales on to you!

Join us for the official launch of Mjölnir. A Sköll and Hati exclusive single malt whisky. Selected, finished and bottled in collaboration with the fantastic team at Blind Summit. The first in our series of godly gifts.

Named for the hammer of Thor, Mjölnir is a 17 yo Glen Garioch finished in Amontillado Sherry casks, and not to be underestimated. A highland powerhouse of brûlée sweetness, heather honey and herbal notes.

What is a Skáld?

Skálds, travelling poets and storytellers, were revered in Norse Culture. More than just entertainers they were keepers of social memory in a primarily oral culture. With gifts bestowed on them by the Allfather himself, these talanted few spread tales of gods, giants & heroes across the land in Skáldic verse.

It's this reverence for storytelling which drew us to the Norse tales as perfect inspiration for our own liquid storytelling.
