Where is South Loch?

We are South Loch. We are located in Edinburgh’s historic old town with our distillery inside 56 North, Scotland's original gin bar. South Loch is the historic name for “The Meadows” the large public park on Edinburgh’s Southside. This huge open park was originally a loch. It provided Old Town Edinburgh with drinking water, recreation while also providing clean water for the local breweries and distilleries (legal or not!) We’ve resurrected this historical reference to distilling in Edinburgh with the launch of South Loch Gin. All our products are distilled by us in one of our two copper pot stills.
