Awesome lady shout out!

First Saturday of every month we host a group of around 20 or so 'singles' who, between them have an awful lot of life experience , if you know what i mean!

We love them all unconditionally!

We especially love the dear lady who organises it all for them, some call her Margaret, some call her Mrs Pringle, I just call her the Boss and shes a star.

She makes it her mission to keep her auld pals social and she deserves such a lot of credit for that- though i'm sure she won't thank me for making a fuss of her!

We should all aim to be a wee bit like Margaret

It's 5 years this evening since Leigh and I first opened the doors at the Balerno Inn.

We've absolutely loved the journey so far, the challenges, the highs, the lows, the hard lessons, heck even the lockdowns.

All of the component parts of the journey (so far) have helped us to grow the Balerno Inn into a great and consistent local Inn.

We'd be utterly lost without our amazing team, several of them have been with us since day one. They are our friends, they are our second family and we adore them all ❤️💪🏻

We encourage and empower them to continue being themselves and to keep showing off the great personalities they all have.

Week in, week out we see more and more first time visitors to our wee Inn. People really seem to be travelling great distances to get a seat at our table 😀, we are delighted to host them and show them our warm Balerno Inn hospitality, but it's the folk we call regulars who make our heart sing, they have been loyal, supportive and many have grown to be good friends over the past few years ❤️🍻

The Balerno Inn wouldn't be the same without you all 😀🍻

Here's to you all, and here's to making the next 5 years even better than the last 😀🥳

Well this was wholly unexpected !!

Delighted to receive the coveted VILLAGE INN OF THE YEAR for all of Scotland, at the National hotels of the year award ceremony in rainy Glasgow.

This one is for the entire Balerno Inn family and of course for all of our dedicated, loyal and kind guests ❤️❤️
