Monkey Barrel Comedy Cafe Bar Monkey Barrel Comedy is a year-round comedy club situated just off the Royal Mile on Blair Street.

We are Edinburgh's alternative comedy club, giving a space for not only traditional stand-up but also improvised theatre, absurdist humour, cabaret, poetry and many other forms of spoken word. As well as our regular shows committed to developing local talent, we also run Monkey Barrel Polytechnic, a completely free set of tailored courses open to anyone who would like to learn how to be a comic, i

mproviser, clown or whatever they would like to be.
