Monkey Barrel Comedy Cafe Bar Monkey Barrel Comedy is a year-round comedy club situated just off the Royal Mile on Blair Street.

We are Edinburgh's alternative comedy club, giving a space for not only traditional stand-up but also improvised theatre, absurdist humour, cabaret, poetry and many other forms of spoken word. As well as our regular shows committed to developing local talent, we also run Monkey Barrel Polytechnic, a completely free set of tailored courses open to anyone who would like to learn how to be a comic, i

mproviser, clown or whatever they would like to be. If you are interested in joining us for one of our shows, setting up one of your own productions or using venue during the day, please see our main page . ATTENTION! to all film fanatics out there! Tonight from 7.30pm Monkey Barrel Comedy will be hosting it's 2nd monthly Cult Film night presented by the brilliant Rick Molland! Cult Film Edinburgh intends to bring film lovers a new way to watch films they love. On the 1st Thursday of every month we bring you an alternative movie themed evening with screenings and film related fun.

Our next screening will be of EVIL DEAD 2 - DEAD BY DAWN!
We will provide the food, the beer, quirky entertainment and the movie. You just need to come watch, enjoy and chat with other film lovers! "GROOVY"

We will be bringing film lovers a new way to watch films they love. On Thursday 8th June we will be kicking off our first of many film themed evenings with a screening of Fight Club!
