Welcome to the Doric Bar and Restaurant, Edinburgh's oldest gastro pub. Built in the 17th Century and adapted to become a pub in the 18th century when everything was homemade and locally sourced. Today, we are no different, our produce is still sourced locally from many of the smaller, more specified and more reputable suppliers. Our butcher, John Gilmour, only supplies meat to a few select place

s in Edinburgh. The menu consists of traditional Scottish dishes such as Haggis, our famous Cullen Skink, and fine food with influences from around the world.

SUMMER COCKTAIL SPECIAL 🍹🌹

We’re introducing a handful of lovely summer cocktails, available in our restaurant until the end of August!

All made with Lanique - a refreshing rose flavoured liqueur

Already a staff favourite we have the Lanique Spritz;
Lanique, Prosecco and Soda with lots of ice and a slice of lime

We have a Lanique & Tonic; a classic G&T re-imagined

Of course in the mix we have a champagne cocktail made with our Ayala Brut Majeur

and lastly we have the Rose Negroni; Lanique, Gin and Campari chilled and strained over fresh ice with a slice of orange

Malt(s) of the month 🥃

Balvenie Doublewood is a full bodied yet smooth whisky with sweet fruit and sherry notes, matured first in a traditional oak cask then being moved to a Spanish oak sherry cask adding depth and warmth to its flavour.

Balvenie Caribbean cask is matured through traditional oak casks then being ‘finished’ in casks that held Caribbean rum, giving it a smooth honeyed character with notes of toffee and fruit.
