We are looking for a full-time Consumer Liaison to join our Consumer Success team at Convo.

This is a varied role combining consumer support, community outreach and growth. Supporting deaf consumers while building relationships within the community and helping more people discover Convo.

- Fluent BSL essential
- Home-based with regular UK travel
- £28,000–£30,000, depending on experience
- Full time

A deaf attendee at the Transport Forum had an impromptu conversation with Andy Burnham, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, in BSL. There were no interpreters on site.

How?

Dr Mark Fosbrook was wearing a Convo Access QR lanyard that day. Scan it with a phone camera and you are with an interpreter on your mobile in seconds. No app, no account, nothing arranged in advance.

The deaf attendee got in touch afterwards to tell us what it meant. Their word was "lifesaver."

The conversations worth having are rarely the ones on the agenda. Booked access only covers the moments someone predicted. This one nobody predicted.
