Call 0131 337 3034 to book a table. Established as a billiard saloon since 1934 (formally the new Carlton Club) the Locarno is situated in Edinburgh west. On the first floor it has 7 full size snooker tables (arguably Edinburgh’s best kept tables) a fully licenced bar area serving snacks and drinks with all live sport shown on our large plazma screen in the bar. Being

a very traditional club with its original panelled walls, large radiators & high celling. With many of Edinburgh’s top players using it as their venue of choice. Our Club Professional is Scott Donaldson who was the European Amateur Champion 2012 joining the Professional ranks at age 18

We have many playing from the club who compete in the local and district leagues. Competitions are run on a regular basis whether it be a Sunday handicap, a junior league or national competitions. Locarno welcomes all with no membership, cue hire or chalk charges.

Well done to dean young winning the handicap tonight! Played unreal all night missing the last pink on 134 for a max! Was brilliant to watch! Unlucky to Lee watt in the final can’t do much when ur opponent just clears up! Thanks for everyone who came tonight and hopefully see yous all soon thanks!

Locarno spring/summer 2026 snooker league handicap will start on Monday 27th April. Please note your interest in the comments or to a member of staff. All abilities are welcome. 1 match per week ideally to be arranged with your opponent all 3 frames must be played. It’s £10 entry fee with a £4 p/p table charge for each match. Well done to Stewart muir winning the handicap tonight beating Martin miller in the final! Went down to the black ball and missed it by a mile and came off 3 cushions into the bottom corner!
