In late 2013 it became apparent there was popular support for the idea of a regular blues club in Edinburgh. General admission to each event is available.

Edinburgh Blues Club is an Award Winning Community Interest Company created to harness popular support for high quality blues music events, hosting regular blues shows in Edinburgh. The key driver was concern that Edinburgh and the surrounding area might start to miss out on touring blues acts. Following discussions and a successful open meeting with interested parties, the Edinburgh Blues Club ha

s been established. Our primary goal is to provide regular live blues events in Edinburgh with touring blues acts from the UK and beyond; with support from the finest local blues artists. We promote at least one blues event each month (except over the duration of the Edinburgh summer festivals). In June 2014 Edinburgh Blues Club became a Community Interest Company (or Social Enterprise) limited by guarantee, Company no 479711. It is also the objectives of the club to carry on activities which benefit the community by providing regular concerts, workshops, master-classes and other events; to carry out market research to identify and facilitate the design and development of training/teaching capacity in order to encourage those members of the community who would not otherwise be exposed to or able to afford such training. The Edinburgh Blues Club is run on a member subscription basis, where club members provide a monthly payment of £12 in return for access to the monthly events as well as additional ad hoc shows. This allows for a steady income stream and gives our members assurances that we will regularly be planning for future events. Membership is available via our website by direct debit, standing order or regular paypal payment. We all have a deep appreciation for blues music and intend for the genre to be covered in all its guises within the Edinburgh Blues Club.
