Imagine a clubnight set in medieval stone vaults where you might see live bands and DJs from around the globe playing anything from jazz to drum'n'bass, dub to dubstep, samba to house, raw funk to hip-hop or afrobeat to electronica. Approaching 8 years old, the clubnight was born out of a desire to hear a different kind of dance music in a
nightclub at a time when house and drum'n'bass dominated (has anything changed, really?). From humble beginnings, the session grew fast and was hitting capacity on a regular basis after a year or two, and attracting guest DJs and bands like Gilles Peterson, Bonobo, Zero dB, Azymuth, Jazztronik and many many more. Now a bit of an elder stateman on the Edinburgh scene, we still pride outselves on putting on the guests no-one else dares to, and providing a premiere atmosphere for Scottish bands to perform in.
