Five things Scotch whisky beginners should know 🥃

🌾 Slide 1: Scotch whisky is made from just three ingredients: barley, water and yeast.

🕰️ Slide 2: To be called Scotch whisky, it must be matured in oak casks for a minimum of three years.

🌍 Slide 3: The maturation process must also take place in Scotland for it to be legally recognised as Scotch whisky.

🥃 Slide 4: There are five recognised Scottish whisky-producing regions: the Lowlands, the Highlands, Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay. Here's a snapshot of the Glenfinnan Viaduct in the Highlands 🚂
