Craigmillar Park Golf Club

Craigmillar Park Golf Club Celebrating 125 years in 2020. Craigmillar Park Golf Club was constituted in 1895. It was extended to 18 holes (designed by James Braid) in 1927.

Clubhouse open to the public. Craigmillar Park is 3 miles south of the centre of Edinburgh, next to the beautiful Blackford Hill, with panoramic views over the city. Although close to the city centre, it is in the Green Belt and away from traffic noise. The course is kept in excellent condition by our team of professional hard-working green staff. We have an active membership with a friendly clubhouse atmosphere. Craigmillar Park is host to the first Scottish Amateur 72 hole event of the season. Scotland’s leading amateurs and many players from south of the border descend on the course in April each year to take part in this event previously won by 6 times major winner Sir Nick Faldo.

Much fun had by all at the Sponsors' Event on Thursday evening 🤝

Despite the blustery conditions 🌬️ and a very close finish, with Campbell Smith LLP winning by just 2 points over Stewart Brewing - might have been a different story if Derek had had better luck with his putting 😟

Message from our Pro:

With a week to go until Pro Day I'd like to provide you the following updates.

Entries are still open to ALL members and guests, and I will be putting up some prizes for those members who don't have handicaps but wish to play in a fun event. Please call me to enter or ask any questions about the day. There are also individual prizes to won on each hole, so if you're having a bad day the fun can continue! Any bottles or gifts to enhance these will be most gratefully received.

From 11am Stewart Brewing will provide some refreshments along with a Burger or Hot dog from the BBQ station adjacent to the 11th tee. This is all included in the entry fee.

Throughout the coming week i will be taking voluntary donations for my designated charity ' Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity '. Even if you can't play next week any donation will give you an entry into the draw to win my 2 season tickets at Aston Villa for a game of your choice. However with no points in the first 2 league games a couple of other prizes will be thrown in!

Lets hope for some dry weather and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during this week and for the event next Saturday.

Our Junior Champion, Danny Hogg continues his good season by reaching the final of the Lothians Golf Association Junior Champion of Champions competition. Danny met Scottish Boys International Oliver Henderson in the final.
Danny was ahead at the turn and shot under par through 16 but couldn’t hang on and lost 3&2. Danny reckons Oliver shot 4 under. We know Danny is disappointed but this is a great achievement. 👏👏👏
