SUNDAY ROASTING…

Currently fully booked this Sunday, availability may pop up here and there online if people change their plans, or just decide they can’t be bothered leaving the house. Which is fine too, we all get like that eh.

It always mildly amuses me when folk tell you why they are cancelling, as though we are going to say “I’m sorry you need a much better excuse or you will have to come to the pub immediately and consume food and beverage”. A quintessentially polite British thing perhaps.

Sundays for the rest of the year are also filling up quite sharpish. As many of will know, we only do a certain amount of Roasts on Sundays, so give us a shout if you fancy one.

I’m going to do a roast belly pork aswell this week.

RUMPY PUMPY THURSDAY…

£12 Rump Steak & Chips.

Little expectation message…

Look, it’s rump steak. Its £12. It’s about as cheap as we can make it so people can come get out the house and have steak and chips. Local butcher sourced British meat & some chips. Done.

A local chain of pubs want £25 for a rump steak.

So anyway, if you’re expecting a5 Wagyu fillet, there are places that do it and they’ll want 40+ quid for it. This is not trying to be that.

Steak, Stilton & Mushroom…

I did cut it open for a pic but the light had gone you see, it’s all about the light, as the pros say.

Few of these then onto a Steak & Ale for the weekend.

WHOPPER WEDNESDAY tonight…

Got absolutely slapped for lunch today, we may just do a shortened lunch menu for the rest of the school holiday week so people can get fed in a timely manner.

How’s your day been? They were doing flu jabs this morning up at the community centre at the same time as the school run, and an almighty downpour. Carnage I tell thee’.
