My counselling room is officially ready! 🤍

I’m so happy to finally share this beautiful space with you.

Many of you will know me through working in beauty, and some of you have followed my journey over the past few years as I’ve trained and worked as a person centred counsellor.

For anyone newer here, counselling has never felt like a sudden change of direction. Over the years, I realised that although I loved helping people feel good on the outside, it was often the conversations, trust and relationships I built that meant the most to me. That was what first led me towards counselling, and eventually to creating this space.

My counselling room is completely separate from the beauty studio, which remains in the annexe. I wanted it to feel warm, comfortable and welcoming. Somewhere you can take a breath, talk openly and feel genuinely heard, without any pressure to know exactly what to say or where to begin.

I offer face to face counselling here at Woodview Wellness in Golden Cross, near Hailsham, as well as online counselling throughout the UK.

I’ve seen this kinda chic trend everywhere lately and I actually really like this one 😂

Because when you think about it, some of the best things we can do for ourselves aren’t particularly exciting or glamorous.

Spending time with people who make us feel more like ourselves. Changing our minds. Getting older and caring a little less about being liked by everyone. Being curious about why we are the way we are. And maybe even asking for some support before everything feels too much.

I think there’s something rather wholesome about that ☺️🤍

Hey 👋🏼 For anyone who’s new here, I’m Kara, the face behind Woodview Wellness!

I’ve been a beauty therapist for over 16 years, and the countdown is on for when I’ll be qualifying as a person centred counsellor after four whole years of studying.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand, enjoying the sunshine, spending time with my family or planning our next little adventure! ☀️

Woodview Wellness has always been about creating a space where people can slow down, feel comfortable and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived. That’s what I’m passionate about, whether it’s through beauty treatments or counselling.

It’s been a little while… 🌿

The last few months have been full in the best (and busiest!) way.

I’ve been balancing life, family, running Woodview, studying counselling, supporting clients and trying to remember to look after myself somewhere in between. 🤍

One thing I’ve realised is that I want this page to be about more than treatments.

You’ll still see all things Woodview… but you’ll also see more of me, the little moments in the woods, honest conversations about wellbeing, and the things that remind us all to slow down.

Woodview has always been about creating a calm, welcoming space where you can breathe for an hour, and that’s exactly what I want this page to feel like too.

If you’ve stuck around while I’ve been a bit quiet, thank you. It genuinely means a lot.

I’m looking forward to sharing more with you over the coming weeks. 🌿💚

I used to work in a busy salon environment for years and although I’m so grateful for that chapter of my life, I knew deep down I wanted something slower, calmer and more personal 🌿

Now my days look a little different.

Creating Woodview Wellness has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I wanted to create a space where people could come and properly switch off for a while, whether that’s for beauty treatments, massage or simply a bit of time to breathe.

It’s still so strange looking around sometimes and realising this peaceful little space is actually mine 🥹🤍

Thank you so much to everyone supporting this new chapter already. The feedback over the last few weeks has meant more than you probably realise.

Since handing over the salon, I’ve been working on something a little different behind the scenes… 🤍

I’ve created a calm, one to one treatment space at home, and I’m now offering both my usual beauty treatments and new spa style treatments in a much more relaxed setting.

It’s quieter, more personal, and designed to give you proper time to switch off (no busy salon environment anymore 🙌🏼)
