Macmillan Cancer Race Night September 19th 2026;

If you have bought horses and wish to name them, please get in touch with Pete as we go to print on thursday with the race night programme.
We do also still have around 20 jockeys available so if you want your name in the programme please get in touch asap. Payment can be made on Saturday evening.
£5 to saddle up and £20 if your horse is first past the post.

All races are now sponsored and we are delighted to announce that the whole event is also now sponsored. All horses have been sold.

All owners, sponsors and jockeys will be highlighted in the race night programme. For all details regarding this event, please contact myself via the usual channels.

Don't forget its cash bingo week as Pete White calls the magic numbers on thursday evening from around 8pm.

Donna. Fran and Warren are back in action on Friday 18th September and their presentation this month is the brilliant classic "Calamity Jane". Fancy dress is always encouraged! It all starts at 8pm and there is one major change to previous film nights as there is no food on offer this time. Please feel free to bring your own snacks etc. You can book in advance via Donna or Fran but its also a pay on the night event - £5 adults and just £2 for children. There will also be a cash raffle.

After the Macmillan race night on 19th, we move forward a week and its our famous Macmillan weekend with the friday night quiz on 25th hosted by Roni and her team; that all starts around 8.15pm and it's £2 per contestant. Its a jukebox evening on 26th before the annual feast! Come and enjoy a great sunday breakfast from 9.30am, get involved with the Tombola and then prepare yourself (and bring your cash!!) as Warren will be in charge for the auction session from around 12 noon.

Hi all. Quick update from Pete on entertainments coming up.

MacMillan Cancer Race Night September 19th 2026;

As you know, the response as always to the MacMillan race night has been as good as ever. Again we are so thankful for your incredible generosity - all races are now sponsored and all horses have been sold. We are currently selling jockeys on the same basis as owners - £5 to saddle up and £20 if your horse is first past the post.
We would still love to have a sponsor for the whole event which would help towards programme printing, films and tote ticket costs. Its £120 to be the event sponsor with your name right there on the front page of our 8 pages event programme.

All owners, sponsors and jockeys will be highlighted in the race night programme so if you still want to get your name in the programme, just contact me if you want to be a jockey - we still have a total of 26 jockey spots available. For all details regarding this event, please contact Pete via the usual channels.

Next bingo night will be Thursday 17th September.

DJ Pete B is having a little break right now so it's another jukebox evening this saturday and he returns on Saturday 12th September for his only night in September and there's all the usual fun; recently we paid out a record amount for pop the question nights with £215 going to the lucky raffle and PTQ winners. So out of September and into October with TWO live shows and it is a pleasure to welcome back that brilliant duo ECLIPSE who will be putting on their amazing 60's show for us on Saturday 10th October. Tickets are £10 for members and £15 for guests. Please note ALL tickets must be paid for in advance but more importantly, please start making your bookings soon as I will be out of the country from 26th September until 3rd October. Tickets now on sale.

There's no food this time, but feel free to bring snacks. Film will start at 8pm, with Karaoke afterwards hosted by the fanastic Warren with WA Entertainment

Tickets are cash on the night, and there will be cash raffle also.

One piece of disappointing news - sadly we have had to postpone the live show on Saturday 15th August. We have rescheduled Midnight River's show to Saturday 31st October and we will be announcing a special offer for
our two live show nights in October - the fantastic Eclipse 60s show on 10th is our other live event for that month.

DJ Pete B is holding the fort for the next couple of saturday evenings (15th and 22nd**) with the usual fun and more; it's always a different playlist and of course we will be playing the ever popular pop the question for those four mystery cash envelopes and the cash raffle. Total paid out on saturday evening was up to £170 and there are usually 8 chances to win some cash so come and join the fun from 8pm.

Saturday 22nd is a Strictly Seventies night so if you love your decade of disco and soul, glam rock, eurovision and a host of classic number one tunes then don't miss this one. Pop the question will also be about the 70's throughout the evening so come on down and wallow in some great music nostalgia.

Sales of horses and race sponsorship are now open as we countdown to the MacMillan fundraiser race night which takes place on Saturday 19th September. This is always one of our most popular events and we raise lots of money for this great charity as well as having a great fun night of racing on film.

Morning all. A quick reminder that our next live show is almost here and it's the brilliant TOP OF THE POPS SHOWBAND - they are back tomorrow evening (Friday 3rd July) .
We do have just a few seats available for sale due to several cancellations and those who remain undecided!

£10 for members and £15 for guests. If you haven't been lucky enough to see this band, don't miss out as they really are top class entertainers. Contact Pete if you'd like to book tickets.
