The Comedy Store staged one of the first ever live shows at Gala. Bottom of the bill that day was an Irish comedian called Dara O’Briain. Some have gone on to become household names (Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Milton Jones, Micky Flanagan). Others are just regulars on the touring circuit, performing night after night around the country. The Comedy Store is still at the centre of Gala’s live pro
gramme and still packing them in.
