Today is National Fish & Chip Day (bet you didn't know that!)

We will be serving one our country's most iconic traditional Friday dishes to eat in or take away from 5.30pm today....

Think crispy beer battered haddock, chunky chips, mushy peas, homemade tartare sauce (or homemade curry sauce of you fancy going a bit rogue), and a wedge of fresh lemon to squeeze over the top of the fish.. Mmmmm..think we've just talked ourselves into having some of that ourselves 😋

Our full evening menu will also be available.

☀️ The sun has made another appearance this morning — probably by mistake — so the beer garden is OPEN and ready for anyone who fancies pretending it’s summer.
🌦 Showers are due later, but fear not: when the heavens open, we’ve got a cosy indoor refuge where you can hide, dry off, and pretend you didn’t get caught in it.
🍽 Food lineup: • Tonight from 5.30 • Saturday 12–2.30 & from 5.30 (Plenty of chances to feed yourself before the weather changes its mind again.) Booking recommended but walk ins always welcome but we are now getting busy and don’t want to disappoint anyone.
🍺 Real ales, local ciders at the bar — perfect whether you’re basking in the sunshine or sheltering like a soggy woodland creature.
Come join us and make the most of the sunshine while it’s still negotiating its contract. Open from 12pm all weekend.
