And that’s a wrap!

After 3 incredible years as landlord and landlady of The Globe, Jay and Iga would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us along the way.

We’ve truly had some of the best times of our lives running this pub, and leaving now is such a bittersweet feeling. This chapter of our lives has been a long, beautiful and unforgettable one, especially for Jay, who has been part of The Globe since the age of 12. He started by bottling up the fridges and cleaning the tables on a Saturday for some pocket money, before becoming a glass collector at 15. Who would have thought all those years ago that he’d one day be running the place? ❤️

Over the years, we’ve laughed together, cried together, celebrated together and grieved together. We’ve made so many memories, shared countless moments and, sadly, said goodbye to some much-loved regulars along the way. They will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

More than anything, we hope that during our time here, we’ve created a place where everyone felt welcome — somewhere you could walk through the doors, leave your worries at the door for a little while, share a laugh, have a drink and feel part of something special. If we’ve managed to do that, then we know we’ve done something right.

We’re now ready to close this chapter and begin a new one, but we’ll forever cherish the memories, friendships and people that have made our time at The Globe so special.

A massive thank you to all our friends who have stood by us, supported us and been part of this journey. And, most importantly, to our absolutely amazing staff — thank you for all your hard work, loyalty, laughs and everything you’ve done for us. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we’ll always be grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️

Three years as landlords, a lifetime of memories, and a chapter we’ll never forget.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. You’ve made it what it was, and we’ll carry a little piece of The Globe with us wherever life takes us next.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our customers, we’re delighted to say we raised an incredible £400 for Breast Cancer Now Charity!

To everyone who donated, baked, bought a cake, or simply helped spread the word - massive thank you. Your kindness and generosity really do make a difference.

We’re so proud of our wonderful customers and everyone who helped make the day such a success!

🍰 Charity Cake Sale at The Globe! 🍰

Join us on Sunday 9th August from 12pm-4pm for a charity cake sale in aid of Breast Cancer Now.

We’ll be raising money for an amazing charity that provides life-changing support, funds vital research, and gives hope to those affected by breast cancer. Every slice of cake sold and every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make a real difference.

We’ll have plenty of delicious cakes, some fun games planned, and it’s going to be a lovely afternoon for us all to spend together - eating cake, having a laugh, and raising money for a fantastic cause.

We survived the World Cup… just about!

Between pulling pints, keeping the drinks flowing, and soaking up the incredible atmosphere with you all, we somehow managed to snap a few photos along the way!

What a fantastic few weeks it’s been - full of unforgettable matches, plenty of celebrations, a few heartbreaks, and an amazing atmosphere from start to finish.
