The L’Antica Quercia winery lies in Scomigo, a small town in the municipality of Conegliano, between the Dolomites and Venice. This is a 21-hectare estate making truly unique wines using organic agriculture.
L’Antica Quercia Sú Alto is a colfondo wine, a type of bottle-fermented prosecco that is light and fresh with very dominant fruit. This is a lively and slightly sweet sparkling wine that captivates with its youthful zest and freshness! 🍾

New arrival! A stunning sparkling wine that is dangerously quaffable, recommended by our friend - Danbury Ridge Wine Estate is a vineyard and winery located in Essex, in South East England. The estate takes its name from the nearby village of Danbury. Owners Michael and Heather Bunker planted their first vines in 2014, with a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties. The team produces wine using both their own estate-grown fruit and grapes sourced from other growers in Essex. Danbury Ridge has gained recognition for its exceptional English wines. Solstice is a multi-vintage blend of barrel-fermented Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, a proportion of which passes through the perpetual solera. The label was designed by Sophie Bunker and her father Michael penned the “Solstice” script and a conscious decision was taken not to include a wasteful foil.

Stunning new Albariño arrival! Benito Santos is a central figure in the modern history of Albariño and the Rias Baixas DO. He began working in his grandfather’s vineyards in the 1930’s making wine for his bar. In the 1960’s he repeatedly won prizes in the Annual Fiesta de Albarino in Cambados and was instrumental in the creation of the DO in the 1980’s. The winery was built in 1979. He is buried nearby in the grounds of the Monastery of Calago in Arousa.

In his work he showed sincerity and a respect for nature (organic farming) enabling the wines to show the character of their terroir. Benito Santos believed that “wine should be made in the vineyard not in the winery.”

Current winemaker Jose Antonio Porto concurs and carries on the tradition.

The 12 hectares are situated by the sea in the Val do Salnes sub region, one of five in the Rias Baixas DO, benefiting from the mild Atlantic climate, to produce wines of freshness, structure and minerality.

Benito Santos wines are salty, mineral, and structured, with ample fruit and great length.
