GENERAL MANAGER | ARCHIES, DUNDEE

This isn’t your standard hospitality management role.And we’re not looking for a standard manager.

Archies is looking for a strong, energetic, and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the team, drive the business forward, and help shape the next chapter of one of Dundee’s most exciting hospitality venues.

We want someone who understands service. Proper service. The kind that creates atmosphere, remembers faces, handles pressure, and keeps standards high even when the venue is three deep at the bar.

You’ll be leading from the front in a fast-paced, creative environment with events, live music, private hires, cocktails, and big personalities. No two weekends look the same here.

This role would suit someone who:
• Thinks like an owner, not just an employee
• Loves hospitality and thrives in busy environments
• Can lead, motivate, and challenge a team
• Understands how to build sales and drive a business forward
• Has strong bar, floor, and operational experience
• Is organised, commercially aware, and proactive
• Can create a culture people want to be part of
• Knows that standards matter, every shift, every guest, every time

What you’ll be doing:
• Running the day-to-day operation of the venue
• Managing and developing the team
• Driving sales, events, and customer experience
• Managing rotas, stock, labour, and targets
• Working closely with ownership on ideas, growth, and business development
• Delivering consistently high service standards
• Helping push Archies to the next level

What we’re looking for:
• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in hospitality
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service standards
• A hands-on approach and a good work ethic
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Someone who brings energy, ideas, and accountability

This is not a “sit in the office” management role, We want a leader. A grafter. A personality. Someone who wants to build something.

We’re bringing a luxurious candle-making workshop to Dundee, a hands-on experience where you’ll create your own beautifully scented soy candles from scratch 🕯️

During the workshop, you will-

- Choose 2 fragrances from a selection of 20
- Create two 200ml soy candles
- Learn about fragrance notes and how they blend together
- Discover the different types of wax used in candle making

Your ticket also includes a glass of Prosecco/small wine or two soft drinks, plus a slice of cake 🥂🍰

Once your candles are poured, they’ll cure overnight and will be ready for collection, the perfect keepsake from a creative and indulgent evening.
