Pantomime Auditions

It’s audition time – oh yes it is!

The Guild of Players are delighted to be performing Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood by Alan P Frayn, this year directed by Rachel Reekie.

The Pantomime will run from Friday 4th to Saturday 19th December (16 performances in total). If you are unable to attend all performance dates, please do not audition. The youngest age to be involved this year is 12 years of age.

Auditions will be held in the Theatre Royal on Saturday 27th June from 9.30am to 1pm and Sunday 28th June from 6pm-8pm. There will be a further audition date the following week (week commencing 29th June) for those who can’t attend at the weekend. When you audition, you will be measured for a costume at the end of your audition. Please note that if you are not cast, these measurements will be destroyed.

There are a number of parts available: Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Sheriff of Nottingham, Nurse Nellie Nickerlastic (Dame), Snivel and Grovel (comedy duo), Ella and Sam (King John’s niece and nephew), King Richard and of course, The Merry Men (Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Much the Miller and Alana Dale). There are also various small parts available for chorus members.
