🚨 WE’RE HIRING — BAR TEAM MEMBER 🚨

Are you confident behind a bar, good with people, and able to keep smiling even when someone says “surprise me” and then hates every suggestion? Lovely. We might need you.
We’re looking for a Bar Team Member to join the team at The King William.
This role is bar-focused and will include:
🍻 Serving drinks
💷 Taking payments
🧼 Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and ready to go
🔐 Opening up and closing down
👀 Lone working when required
🗣️ Chatting with customers without looking like you’d rather be anywhere else
⚡ Keeping things moving when it gets busy
This is a role for someone who can be trusted to crack on, use their initiative, and not need babysitting every five minutes. You’ll need to be confident, responsible, and comfortable working on your own at times — because lone working means exactly that, not “panic and phone everyone because the till blinked at you”.
We’re looking for someone who is:
✨ Friendly, confident, and good with customers
✨ Reliable — still rare, still very much required
✨ Trustworthy and sensible
✨ Able to work independently
✨ Happy to open up, close down, and follow procedures
✨ Calm under pressure
✨ Not afraid of a busy bar, a sticky floor, or a customer who suddenly thinks they’re a cocktail expert
Experience behind a bar is great, but the right attitude matters most. We can refresh your skills, show you our way of doing things, and teach you the systems — but we can’t teach you to care, turn up on time, use common sense, or bring good energy to a shift. That bit needs to come pre-installed.
This is a zero hours role, so flexibility is key. Hospitality hours can vary, so we’re looking for someone who understands the nature of the industry and is happy to jump in when needed.
Availability required across:
🗓️ Monday to Sunday
⏰ 9am to 2am
No, that doesn’t mean you’ll work every hour of every day — breathe. It means we need flexibility, reliability, and someone who understands pubs are not powered by vibes alone.
