It’s officially pie season, and lucky for you, we’ve got a couple of absolute beauties on the menu!

Steak & Ale or Vintage Cheddar, Potato & Leek… both delicious and served with your choice of chips or mash, braised red cabbage and lashings of gravy. Because, quite frankly, you can never have too much gravy! A parcel of comfort food and perfect at this time of year.

Meet Rodney The Coastguard Robin. ❤️

Our little red-breasted friend who pays us a visit pretty much every day, all year round. He’s become quite the favourite little bird with our customers and, at this point, we’d say he’s very much part of the team.

There’s something very special about a robin appearing. They’ve long been associated with good luck, lost loved ones and little reminders that someone might be thinking or looking over you which makes Rodney’s daily visits by the sea that little more lovely.

Next time you’re in, keep an eye out for him. If you’re lucky, he might pop over to say hello, although we can’t promise he’ll serve the table or help with the bill. 😂

What’s that… a new menu is launching at The Coastguard?! 👀🍂

We always look forward to a change of season around here, especially when it means a new menu and we’re excited to share this one with you.

The team have been working very hard behind the scenes to bring the best of season to your plate. And being by the sea, we had to give you a little sneak peek at one of our new fish dishes, our seabass fillet served with charred baby gem lettuce, new potatoes and romesco.

The rest will all be revealed in a few weeks on 17th October, when our Autumn menu will be in full swing. So, if you fancy being one of the first to try it, we’d recommend getting in touch with the team and booking your table ahead of time.
