From Barbados to (3)b…a little slice of Caribbean craft has landed at The Draughtsman Alehouse 🇧🇧🍻

For the first time ever, Dread Hop Brewing’s b**rs are available in the UK and we’ve got the full range!

Luke and Russ got to try Dread Hop at source on holiday back in early 2018. One memory that’s stuck with them is having to chug several bottles on the last morning because checkout was at 10am and the villa fridge was still pretty full 😬

Now you can try them here with us, without the need for a long haul flight (although they would highly recommend it)! ✈️

Somebody tells us that it’s national cask ale week…so we’re absolutely throwing a spanner into the works here 👀

Sierra Nevada. Pale Ale. Cask. Shipped from the states! 🇺🇸

We love our cask, and we love our keg, and we do love a CASK vs KEG, so who better to do one with in national cask ale week than California’s world famous Sierra Nevada?!? 🤷‍♂️

We’re chuffed to be bits to have one of a small handful of casks that were sent over from Cali pouring right here in lil old Donny, but you know us!

Lock in? More like lock out! 😩

⚠️ A slightly delayed opening this morning…

The good news? Our cellar refit is complete—and it’s looking brand spanking new! 😍

The bad news? Our front door apparently isn’t quite as impressed and has decided to jam itself shut 😩

Thankfully, Locksmith Lee (probably not his real name) is on his way to rescue us! We won’t be open at 10am as planned, but bear with us folks…we’ll have the doors open and the pints pouring as soon as possible🍻

Well, that was one seriously busy Leger weekend! A huge thank you to everyone who called in for a pint or two of our St Leger 250 b**r 🍻

Now for the slightly less fun stuff… unfortunately, we’ll be closed tomorrow and Tuesday while some crucial maintenance work is carried out across our bar and cellar areas. It’s work that simply has to be done to keep everything running tip-top, and being open seven days a week doesn’t leave us with much downtime to tackle these jobs!

We’ll be back open as normal from Wednesday, hopefully looking slightly less knackered than we do now!

This isn’t just another b**r release.

This week, Doncaster celebrates something genuinely special… 250 years of the St Leger, the world’s oldest Classic and a piece of our city’s history dating all the way back to 1776!

So obviously…we made a b**r for it 🍺

Introducing The St Leger 250 – 250th Anniversary Pale Ale, brewed by our good pals at Triple Point Brewery + Bar especially to mark this incredible milestone.

At 4.2%, it’s everything we wanted our Leger b**r to be…light, hoppy, easy drinking and full of life, just like St Leger week itself.

We’ve got it in cans AND on draught, with both going on sale from tomorrow morning ahead of the festival kicking off on Thursday.

Whether you’re heading to the Doncaster Racecourse, joining us for a pint, or you simply fancy raising a glass to 250 years of Doncaster’s greatest tradition, this one’s for you.

🌍 It isn’t International B**r Day if we don’t put a post up telling you all about the phenomenal b**rs we’ve got pouring today…

It also isn’t International B**r Day if one of our suppliers doesn’t drop a massive bo***ck and fail to deliver one of our key event b**rs on time 🙄

We’ll start with the bad news. Our Sierra Nevada cask has literally just turned up, meaning we can’t serve it today as it hasn’t had chance to settle. Rest assured, it’s here and will be going on next week!🍻

Now the good news…

We’ve got some absolute BANGERS pouring all day from the likes of Hudson Valley, Amundsen, Oso and more and the fridge is chocker block with tinnies from Hudson Valley, Other Half, Oso, Finback, Amundsen, Sierra Nevada, Prairie Artisan Ales and plenty more besides! What a lineup 😍

We’ll also be cracking open some cheeky 🇺🇸 imperial stouts from Prairie Artisan Ales for sampling from around 6pm (first come, first served!) Chai Martini Imperial Stout anyone? 👀
