Well after 18 years (where did they go??), I hand the G-Banger keys over to the new people on Monday. It's been a rum old ride, and I don't remember too many dull moments!
I'd like to thank you all for your invaluable custom and company over the years, I've been lucky to have made so many good friends and I hope you've all enjoyed many a good night/day in that time. I'd also like to thank my amazing team of staff, both past and present, I've been very lucky to have worked with some of the loveliest and most dedicated people.
This obviously wasn't the way I'd planned to bow out, some kind of a farewell shindig would have been nice, but some things are more important at this bizarre and troubled time, so blessings should be counted.
I think/hope I've looked after The Hound in my time here and I'm pleased to be handing it back in good condition for the new guys to continue and build on as a thriving pub. From what I've seen and heard, I'm confident it's in good hands, and I would like to give everyone involved in the future running of the pub my best wishes.
