Developing something new for the long miles. I’m enjoying experimenting with a beeswax base to get this formulation exactly where it's needed. 🐝🏃‍♂️

🐝 ​Moved the hives onto the rapeseed fields this weekend. The bees are already hard at work pollinating the crop and prepping for the first honey flow of the year. Spring is officially in full swing! 🐝

Busy times here at Potterne Honey HQ getting the kit ready before things properly kick off, every spare bit of space is full!

Hundreds of frames cleaned up, rewaxed and ready to go back into the hives when they need the space. Getting everything ready now makes life easier later on.

There's still plenty of jobs here to keep our frame maker busy, this weeks all the seasons NUC boxes need painting. 🐝

🐝 Something a little different for us today 🚁

landed in our beekeeping field earlier — thankfully they were stood down shortly after, so no assistance was needed.

Not something we ever expect to see next to our hives — definitely not the usual flying things we have around here. 🐝 🚁 A quick check of the hives after and only 1 nuc roof blew off, skilled flying 😀
