A jam packed house last night, with 20 teams in for the spooktacular Halloween quiz with some great costumes and a few great answers with rounds on Werewolves, Zombies, Magic Spells and Pumpkins. A few full rounds to kick us off in the first, with Cops & Robbers, Beaver Nuggets, Quizzy McQuizerson and Barfly in a high scoring round for all. Barfly followed up with a full round in 2 saw them with a slight lead over the rest with all close behind. At the beak it was only a few points in it with Beaver Nuggets leading by a point from Quizzy McQuizzerson and the chasing pack of Underbags, Neuro Spicey, Half a Team, Bar Fly all hot on their tails. Still the same story after the break with some great answers and Quizzy McQuizzersons with a full round in 6 saw them leading the pack. With just a few points in it and a crucial picture round to tally up it was going to be close. As usual Underbags with a full picture round and Beaver Nuggets only missing ensured a tight finish. With a double check of the markers maths we had a winner and it was a crucial picture round for the Beaver Nuggets winning in 101, Quizzy McQuizzersons 97 and tie for third with Underbags and Half a Team on 94.

Well done Niall and Diane with the spot prizes. Then it was Gareth’s turn to find the Joker but alas no luck, then Mitchell had a go at it but he couldn’t find it. Damien couldn’t ignore the chants of “one more draw” and Alma got a turn, but she couldn’t do any better than hubby Gareth did earlier.

It’s a rollover and we’re 3 more cards down after last night. Get your tickets at the bar £2each or 3 for a £5er

Thomas 'The Hitman' Sweeney will be playing later around 7.30pm 🎶
