We didn’t quite take home the Best Café award at tonight’s Marketing Derby Food & Drink Awards, but we’re absolutely delighted to have been recognised amongst Derby’s best once again!

A huge thank you to our brilliant team, whose hard work, dedication and personality make Bookcafe what it is. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And to our wonderful customers, old and new, thank you for continuing to support our independent business. It really does mean the world to us.

We’ve been lucky enough to celebrate some fantastic wins over recent years, and being named a finalist again is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Still independent, still passionate and still doing what we love! ☕❤️

🎶 DERBY FOLK FESTIVAL WEEKEND! 🎻

Derby city centre is going folky this weekend as Derby Folk Festival returns from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October 🙌

If you’re heading into town for the music, performances and festivities, pop into Bookcafé Derby for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee or a cheeky pint 🍳☕️🍺

And keep an eye out for the Morris dancers performing right outside us on Corn Market — you can’t get much closer to the action than that! 💃🎶 Makeney Morris

Our October special is a Pumpkin Spice Scone, served with a deliciously sweet cream cheese, think pumpkin spice & cinnamon goodness finished with a drizzle of pumpkin sauce. 🤎

👨‍🍳 Genuine No.2 to our Head Chef
📈 Opportunity to develop and progress
🌙 Occasional evening functions, but not late nights every night
🍳 Busy, independent kitchen with plenty of scope to get involved
