This has to be one of Derby's best kept secrets. Finale on the Strand is a fantastic restaurant. The food is lovely, portions are good, service is faultless, prices are very reasonable and I can personally recommend the blue orchid cocktail. Highly recommended. We aren't getting any concessions for this, it's an honest review we just wanted to share.

The Six Nations starts tonight (Hurray) kick off is 8.10pm, obviously this means that it doesn't finish until after our normal close time. Fear not rugby fans, we will be showing the entire match

Our lovely P.C. will be celebrating her 80th birthday next Wednesday (February 4th). Anyone wishing to come along and help her celebrate is invited to join her from 5pm onwards at the Pothole.

We are dog friendly here at the Pothole. Dogs must be on leads, not on the furniture and not tied to the furniture, but expect lots of fusses and a dog treat. Bowls of water provided on request. Here is one of our favourite customers
