Management Level 3 Apprenticeship
Job Title: Apprentice Service Technician

Location: Exloc UK Office, Delph
Employment Type: Full‑time (minimum 30 hours per week in line with apprenticeship requirements)
Role Overview
The Apprentice Service Technician will support Exloc Instruments UK Ltd by assisting in the service, testing, repair, and configuration of industrial equipment, including ATEX and hazardous‑area certified devices.
This role is delivered alongside the NowSkills Digital Support Technician with Systems Management Level 3 Apprenticeship, which provides structured technical training, monthly 1:1 reviews, virtual learning sessions, expert guest speakers, and access to platforms such as LinkedIn Learning, uCertify, and G‑Metrix.
The apprentice will build their technical capability while working closely with the Sales and Technical teams, gaining practical experience to support long‑term development within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Support inspection, testing, calibration, and repair of customer equipment under supervision.
Assist in configuring products prior to dispatch, ensuring documentation and labelling meet ATEX and safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and certificates as part of apprenticeship learning tasks.
Respond to basic technical enquiries (phone/email) with support from the technical team.
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to understand technical processes and updated procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised service area, tools, and test equipment.
Support warranty assessments and RMA processing.
Prepare equipment for safe shipment.
Contribute to improvements in processes as skills develop.
Participate fully in apprenticeship training, live virtual sessions, and monthly 1:1 review meetings.
Apprenticeship Training & Support
The apprenticeship includes live virtual training, monthly 1:1 sessions, enrichment activities, and industry‑standard tools such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 and CompTIA resources.
The apprentice will have full access to NowSkills’ Customer Support Team and Knowledge Base Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
Apprentices must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to meet programme requirements.
A dedicated Apprentice Mentor within Exloc will guide the apprentice, provide regular feedback, set practical tasks, and attend monthly review sessions.
Skills & Experience Required:
Interest in electrical, mechanical, or technical work.
Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
Passport, training in Germany needed
Desirable:
Any hands‑on technical experience (hobbyist or educational).
Understanding of industrial equipment or electronics.
Familiarity with customer service environments.
