💜🥂 THE GRANITE THISTLE – A LITTLE UPDATE! 🥂💜

We’ve been a little quiet lately, but there’s certainly been plenty happening behind the scenes.

Some of you may have noticed that the front of The GT is now almost complete, and we’re absolutely delighted to see everything finally starting to come together! 😍

We’ve received so many lovely messages and enquiries asking when we’ll be opening, and it’s fantastic to know just how many of you are looking forward to visiting us!

Although we’re not quite ready to announce our official opening date, please be assured we’re working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get everything just right.

🥂 A LITTLE BIT OF EXCITING NEWS…

Our seating is scheduled to be installed on 24th November! 💜

This is a huge milestone for us, and we honestly cannot wait to see the bar taking shape and the vision we’ve had for so long finally becoming a reality! 🤩

There’s still plenty happening inside, and we’re putting a lot of time, effort and attention into getting everything just how we envisaged. We’re so excited to finally see it all coming together! ✨

📣 WE’LL ALSO BE RECRUITING SOON!

Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting job opportunities at The Granite Thistle! We’ll be sharing details of the positions available very soon.

We really cannot thank everyone enough for your patience, encouragement and continued support throughout this journey 🥰

We’re getting closer, and we can’t wait to welcome you 🥳

🛠️ LOOKING FOR A BIT OF HELP IN DALBEATTIE! 🛠️

We’re on the final push at The Granite Thistle and we’re looking for joiners who might have some availability over the next few weeks to help us get over the line! 🙏🏼💜

We already have a couple of joiners working away for us as and when they can, but we now have a date in mind that we’re really hoping to work towards… so it’s all hands on deck! 😅

There are plenty of odd jobs still to get through, including:

🔨 Boxing in pipes
🚪 Hanging doors & fitting frames
🪚 Finishing work
🔧 And lots of other bits and pieces!

It doesn’t necessarily need to be someone who can commit full-time — even a few days here and there would be a massive help.

So, does anyone know a joiner with a bit of spare availability who fancies helping us get The Granite Thistle over the finish line? 🍸💜

Please tag anyone you think might be interested, share this post, or drop us a message.

Any help would be hugely appreciated! 🙏🏼

Not long now, we’re looking forward to it!

🌿💜✨Update on progress 🌿💜✨

Things are slowly but surely getting there.

We now have a bar structure in place 💜

AND

We now have a targeted date 🤩

We are not disclosing this just yet untill a couple more things are confirmed so keep an eye 👁️ out for this.

The best news this weekend is we have fixed a date with a very talented and award winning cocktail maker coming a long distance to support and train us right here in Dalbeattie! 🌿💜✨

So for this we will be looking for some staff to help us get The Granite Thistle Cocktail bar off the ground.

Keep and eye out in the coming weeks for any positions that will be available.

Excitement is kicking in for us now as we see the end is coming our way.

✨💜 IT’S OFFICIAL… THE SIGN IS UP! 💜✨

We are SO happy to finally see The Granite Thistle up there! 🥹🥂

You might be looking at it and thinking there’s still something missing… 👀

You’d be right. 😏💜

For what we have planned, the sign had to be fitted first — and now that it’s in place, we can get on with the next part of the transformation.

We’re keeping that bit under wraps for now, but hopefully you won’t have too long to wait. 🤫

Little by little, the vision we’ve had in our heads is finally coming together… and we absolutely LOVE it.

Watch this space… 👀

💜🥂 A WEE GRANITE THISTLE UPDATE… 🥂💜

It’s all starting to get VERY exciting now… 👀😍

The new ceilings are COMPLETE and ready for plastering 🙌 and outside, the front of the building is about to be stripped back ready for our new sign arriving soon… and we cannot wait for you to see it!

And another pretty major part of GT is coming to life… THE BAR IS BEING BUILT! 🍸🥂😍

Then comes Laura’s favourite part… THE DECOR! 😂🌸💜

We’ve got a meeting coming up to go through all the plans for the inside and outside, and after months of Laura saying “just trust the vision” 😂 Patrick might finally get to see what she’s been talking about!

✔️ New front door picked
✔️ New flooring picked
✔️ Bar being built 🍸
✔️ Seating being installed soon
✔️ Ceiling lights being chosen 💡✨
✔️ Our granite wall feature is being worked on 🪨👀
✔️ New TV ready to collect 📺
✔️ Fire safety assessment underway 🔥
✔️ New signage coming soon 👀
✔️ Even the toilets are being picked 😂
✔️ Feature and mood lighting being finalised 💜✨

✔️ LOTS of finishing touches still to come…

And we may just have something rather special planned involving a LOT of flowers and the perfect little spot to stop for a photo or two - you might want to have your camera ready… and be prepared to strike a pose! 🤳🏽📸🌸💜

It feels like we’ve spent forever looking at plans, samples and an ongoing building site, but we’re finally getting there 😅

Keep watching… the transformation is about to get GOOD! 👀🥂

Well here we go again never happy with one project on the go but this AI impression shows another one in the pipeline now too!

We will be taking ownership of a 9 seater mini bus to run side by side with with our bar once we get open.

This will bring multiple positives.

We will be able to offer pickups and drop offs to and from the bar this giving you no worries about how your getting to us and once you have enjoyed your evening with us we can return you nice and safely home.

This will be for out of town or even in town if needed all this to make sure your experience with coming to and from The Granite Thistle Cocktail Bar is enjoyable, stress free experience and safe.

This will be run through all the correct channels and unfortunately will be a chargeable service simply due to the running costs of everything nowadays.

We hope this will be another amazing and welcome service to offer with The Granite Thistle Cocktail Bar experience.

On another note lots of people asking at the weekend when’s the big opening date? As yet we have not got an exact date unfortunately but please bare with us as you may have noted the word “experience” a lot and this is exactly what we want to bring to the town. We want to do it once and do it right.

Massive thanks to everyone for comments and supportive words on here and on the passing it’s making things so exciting for us.

Dalbeattie Civic day tomorrow.

We are gutted we haven’t made it open for this weekend as we once hoped.

However things can’t be helped but one thing is for sure we will be there for next year.

We hope everyone has a fantastic day tomorrow.
