💜🥂 A WEE GRANITE THISTLE UPDATE… 🥂💜

It’s all starting to get VERY exciting now… 👀😍

The new ceilings are COMPLETE and ready for plastering 🙌 and outside, the front of the building is about to be stripped back ready for our new sign arriving soon… and we cannot wait for you to see it!

And another pretty major part of GT is coming to life… THE BAR IS BEING BUILT! 🍸🥂😍

Then comes Laura’s favourite part… THE DECOR! 😂🌸💜

We’ve got a meeting coming up to go through all the plans for the inside and outside, and after months of Laura saying “just trust the vision” 😂 Patrick might finally get to see what she’s been talking about!

✔️ Ceiling lights being chosen 💡✨
✔️ Our granite wall feature is being worked on 🪨👀

✔️ New signage coming soon 👀
✔️ Even the toilets are being picked 😂
✔️ Feature and mood lighting being finalised 💜✨

✔️ LOTS of finishing touches still to come…

And we may just have something rather special planned involving a LOT of flowers and the perfect little spot to stop for a photo or two - you might want to have your camera ready… and be prepared to strike a pose! 🤳🏽📸🌸💜

It feels like we’ve spent forever looking at plans, samples and an ongoing building site, but we’re finally getting there 😅

Well here we go again never happy with one project on the go but this AI impression shows another one in the pipeline now too!

We will be taking ownership of a 9 seater mini bus to run side by side with with our bar once we get open.

This will bring multiple positives.

We will be able to offer pickups and drop offs to and from the bar this giving you no worries about how your getting to us and once you have enjoyed your evening with us we can return you nice and safely home.

This will be for out of town or even in town if needed all this to make sure your experience with coming to and from The Granite Thistle Cocktail Bar is enjoyable, stress free experience and safe.

This will be run through all the correct channels and unfortunately will be a chargeable service simply due to the running costs of everything nowadays.

We hope this will be another amazing and welcome service to offer with The Granite Thistle Cocktail Bar experience.

On another note lots of people asking at the weekend when’s the big opening date? As yet we have not got an exact date unfortunately but please bare with us as you may have noted the word “experience” a lot and this is exactly what we want to bring to the town. We want to do it once and do it right.

Dalbeattie Civic day tomorrow.

We are gutted we haven’t made it open for this weekend as we once hoped.

However things can’t be helped but one thing is for sure we will be there for next year.

We’ve been absolutely blown away by the number of private messages asking if The Granite Thistle will be available for private hire. 💜

The answer is… YES! 🥂

Private hire is something we’re planning to offer once we’re open. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hen party, engagement party, baby shower, anniversary, retirement, work event, or any other special occasion, we’d love to help make it one to remember.

We’re currently putting the finishing touches to our private hire packages, so we’ll share all the details, package options, and booking information as soon as everything is ready.

💜 Granite Thistle Update 💜

Unfortunately, we’re really sorry to say that The Granite Thistle won’t be opening in time for Civic Day. 😞

As much as we had hoped to welcome everyone by then, we’ve had a few unexpected setbacks and delays that are completely outwith our control, which has pushed everything back slightly.

Our seating is now due to arrive at the end of August, so at the moment we’re looking more towards a September opening.

We know so many of you are excited (and trust us, we are too!), so thank you all so much for your patience, support and understanding while we make sure everything is just right.

The good news is… if everything comes together sooner than expected and we’re ready to open before then, you’ll be the first to know! 🤞✨

We can’t wait to open our doors and finally welcome you all to The Granite Thistle. It will be worth the wait! 🌿💜✨

We have been slightly quiet on here recently due to being on holiday.

This morning seen one of those put off, dreaded jobs that needed doing, actually done 🎉

We got the old bank safe out, so that’s it all gone now in one week cash machine owners came on Tuesday and took that away, the old bank safe is now out and the old banks fire safe cabinet all gone.

Massive thank you to Sean helping Patrick this morning and to Keith Dempster for coming along with the Telehandler to lift it all out. Got it done before the streets filled with rally cars aswell.

It’s now sitting on the trailer all ready to go for recycling next week. 💪

More updates coming soon as the joiner is making nice progress on lots of things in side now and even more so with all the extra space now too!

WOW WOW WOW🤩

Granite Thistle Cocktail bar has taken another step forward in the right direction.

As we mentioned we had sandblasters coming to clean up our feature walls and what an transformation 🤩

Massive thank you to Skye Blasting Services.

This has been a pleasurable experience with these guys, they came, they priced the job, they gave a date and they came and got the job done all in the space of a week 100% recommended thank you very much.

We cannot wait to further bring this wall to life in the coming weeks. 🌿💜✨
