Evening all... A quick shout-out to let you know that due to a late cancellation, we've now got a little space at next weeks' Boozy Brunch... You'll all know the score by now... Drinks, lunch and outrageously camp entertainment from our drag-tactic host, Mrs C... It's wild, very jolly, and a whole lotta fun.

Evening all… and what a cracking evening it is too!

We’re interrupting your sun-soaked Bank Holiday weekend with news of a very special night coming up…

Just in case you’ve somehow missed it - the World Cup kicks off in just over two weeks, and for the first time in a long time, Scotland will be there!

Now, much as we’d love to, we won’t be staying open late for the first game (a 2am kick-off on June 14th is a stretch even for us!). BUT… we will absolutely be opening late for Scotland v Morocco on Friday 19th June - and we’re throwing one hell of a World Cup party to celebrate.

We’re delighted to welcome PURE MALT, one of Scotland’s finest folk bands, who’ll be playing live from 8pm-10:45pm and getting the place bouncing before kick-off at 11pm.

And if live music and football weren’t enough… there’ll be bacon rolls for everyone at half-time too.

This is going to be a massive night for Scottish football, and there was no chance we were letting it pass without doing something special.

Live music. Football. Food. Proper night out, eh?

Stick the date in your diary now... No tickets etc needed… Get down early, enjoy the free entertainment (trust us - you’ll love Pure Malt), then settle in for the match with us.

Evening all... So, a quick post to see if there are any more takers for the Boozy Brunch we're thinking of running on Saturday 6th June..?!? We're almost there with numbers - so thanks to everyone that messaged and booked already... We just need a couple more tables to get booked in - and then we're definitely on..!!!

Ping us a message if you do want in. This will probably / possibly be the last BB till the autumn - so, if you fancy an outrageous daytime brunch with the fabulously camp, Mrs C, get in touch as soon as you can.

Ooh-ah, a little bit more…!!!

We’re thinking of running a Boozy Brunch on Saturday 6th June – and we’d like to know – who wants in..?!?

Boozy Brunch kicks off at 11am and ends around 2.30ish… You know the score by now… Come and enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival, have a fab deli-lunch, choose 5 drinks from our special BB drinks menu and get ready for a shot or two… Our resident host, the drag-tastic Mrs C, will be calling the shots and keeping us all entertained with her usual blend of outrageous fun and games…

And tickets for all this still cost just £40…

We’ve pencilled in the date – now we just need to get enough people signed up to make it happen..! If you want tickets – please call or ping us a message asap. If we get enough people confirmed this week – then this BB goes ahead..!!!

This will probably be the last BB for a few months – so come play while you can…

Afternoon all… Just a wee post to let you all know that we’ll be closed this evening… We’ve got some bits n pieces to do “behind the scenes” so we’re cracking on with that. We’ll be back open tomorrow as normal from 4pm. Cheers..!!

Afternoon all…!! A wee reminder that Easter weekend will soon be here - and so now’s the time to get those tables booked..!!

We are already full for some periods over the weekend and space is very limited at other times - so if you are planning an Easter get together with friends or family, don’t delay and give us a call - let’s get you booked in..! We are running a regular menu all weekend - with some great specials - including a delicious grilled seabass with king prawns and a choice of roasts (topside of beef or spring lamb) on Sunday…

Afternoon all - and what a beautiful afternoon it is too..!!! A couple of things for you…

First off, we just wanted to say the biggest of thank yous to the incredible Susie McCabe Comedy for showcasing her new show, “Coming of Rage” at The Meadows last night. What an absolute honour and privilege to see one of the biggest names in UK stand-up comedy today perform live in our wee local. Thanks, also, to Paddy Linton for providing the first class warm-up entertainment and, of course, to everyone that bought tickets…

And secondly, a wee note to let everyone know that we are closed this evening for a special, private event. Yep, The Meadow Inn has been booked out entirety this evening for a private birthday celebration - and so whilst we’re open - it’s by invitation only… We’re back open as usual from 12 noon tomorrow.

The Quaich is open right through till late if you’re looking for a wee drink or twelve later…

Evening all… Just letting you know that due to a last-minute cancellation - we’ve now got a handful of tickets for the SUSIE McCABE comedy gig on Friday night…

Susie McCabe is one of the biggest names in stand-up comedy today - and we are thrilled to bits that she’s coming to the Meadows to trial her new show before taking it onto the Kings Theatre in Glasgow.

The tickets cost just £15 - that’s to see Susie - plus an amazing support act too…

Doors open at 6pm. Show starts around 8.45pm. Basket meals available before the show…

If you want the tickets - send us a message asap. First come first gets them. You will need to be able to pop in tomorrow to pay / collect.
