It’s with a heavy but grateful heart that I’ve made the decision to step away from The British Lion and begin a new chapter.

Serving you all hasn’t just been a job — it’s been a privilege. The laughter, the conversations, the quiet moments, the busy nights… they’ve meant more to me than I can properly put into words.

This place has been a dream of mine, but more than that, it’s been a community. You’ve supported me, stood by me, and allowed me to be part of your lives. For that, I will always be thankful.

Sometimes life asks us to move forward, even when our hearts are still attached to where we are. I leave with pride in what we built together and deep appreciation for every single one of you.

Thank you for your kindness, your loyalty, and your friendship.

Good morning, you absolute legends. It’s a bloody miracle—actual sunshine on a Tuesday in Crewe. Yes, real sun. No, you’re not hallucinating. Get yourself down to The British Lion beer garden before it disappears again for another six months.

The music’s on, the drinks are cold, and there’s plenty of space to sit there pretending you’ve got your life together while slowly getting sunburnt in places you didn’t know existed.

Kids, dogs, and emotional support chickens are all welcome—just don’t let them crap everywhere or we’ll put them behind the bar and make them work a shift.

We’ve got a cracking selection of drinks, so if you’re still sat at home, ask yourself one simple question:
what’s your excuse, you lazy sod?

And don’t worry—you’re on full CCTV with audio and visuals, so behave yourself… or at least make it entertaining for the staff later.

It’s nearly payday, thank f*!** Time to put your money where your mouth is and buy me a pint for a change. 🍻 As your ever-loyal (and ridiculously good-looking) landlord, I get the honour of opening these doors to all you lovely people. 140 years ago, this place was a field. Now? We’re the British Lion, baby 🦁—still kicking, still pouring pints like it’s our job (because it is). 😜

I’m bloody proud of this pub and my family that runs it. It’s a dream come true, and if you’ve ever seen me behind the bar, you know it’s also a little bit of a nightmare. But hey, you love it. 😏

We’ve got football, we’ve got events, and we’ve got enough booze to make you forget you’ve been putting off your gym membership (again). So come on in, warm up, and let’s forget about all the crap that’s been annoying you. No judgement here—unless you’re the one who orders a lime and soda when the rest of us are going full pints of lager. 🤨
