Strummer Nights is back tonight from 6pm to 8pm, bringing you the perfect acoustic backdrop to your Friday evening.

There is nothing quite like a cosy pub atmosphere, great food, and live music to properly switch off into weekend mode. Bring the family, meet up with friends, or just pop in for a relaxing drink.

🦁 Meet the Team Tuesday: Meet Brandon! 🦁

It’s time for our next , and today we’re introducing someone who knows his way around both sides of the pub!

Meet Brandon, our Assistant Manager! Brandon specialises in front of house, making sure guests are welcomed, looked after, and kept smiling - but he’s also confident in the kitchen, so don’t be surprised if you spot him helping out behind the scenes too.

Here are a few fun facts about Brandon:

Brandon is at his best out on the floor, keeping service running smoothly and making sure everyone feels right at home. 🍻

He’s not just front of house - Brandon is also handy in the kitchen and always ready to jump in when needed. 👨‍🍳

Brandon is originally from Plymouth, bringing a bit of South West charm to The Old Red Lion. 🌊

Before pub life, Brandon studied Economics at university - so he’s good with numbers as well as customers! 📚

His drink of choice? A proper pint of Guinness. No arguments there. 🍺

Brandon is learning Portuguese on Duolingo - and has even been watching SpongeBob in Portuguese to help it stick. Obrigado, SpongeBob! 🧽🇵🇹

Next time you’re in, say hello to Brandon - whether he’s pouring pints, looking after tables, or lending a hand in the kitchen, he’s always helping keep the pub running smoothly.

We’re delighted to share that together we raised £60 for Social Bite, helping to support people affected by homelessness.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to the generous individuals who have donated prizes for our upcoming charity fundraising events. Your support makes a real difference and helps us continue raising money for such worthwhile causes.
