🦚 Frank Update 🦚

After a bit of a traumatic week, we’re pleased to say that Frank is now safely settled into his forever home with us.

Frank clearly decided he wasn’t keen on the moving process and went off on an adventure of his own! After being brought back and safely secured in his pen, his magic feet somehow managed to undo a padlock, and off he went again.

After providing an unexpected early morning wake-up call to quite a few residents of Cranbrook, we managed to track him down and bring him home safely.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped look for him, reported sightings, and kept an eye out. We really appreciate all your support.

And our sincere apologies to anyone who was woken up by Frank’s enthusiastic announcements. He wasn’t causing trouble—he was simply letting everyone know:

“I’m beautiful, and I’m here!” 🦚💙

Thank you to every single person who has walked through the doors of The Peacock over the past 5 years. Without you, The Peacock would never have become what it was.

Over the years we’ve shared so much together — friendships, births, deaths, marriages, love, tears, laughter and plenty of silliness. It has been so much more than just a pub; it has been a community, a family, and a huge part of our lives and all of yours.

Thank you for every pint drunk, every conversation shared, every event supported, every smile, every hug and every memory made.

We will carry these memories with us forever, and we hope a little piece of The Peacock will stay with all of you too. 🦚❤️

Some of you may have heard, and some may have heard rumours…

After 5 wonderful years, James & Louise have come to the end of their tenure at The Peacock and have decided not to go again.

Unfortunately, Shepherd Neame have not yet found anyone to take over the pub, which means The Peacock may be closing its doors at the end of this month.

The purpose of this post is to try and raise awareness, interest, and hopefully stop this from happening.

This would be yet another beautiful old Kent pub lost forever — left empty and falling into ruin.

If anyone has ever dreamed of running a traditional village pub, now is the time. Please get in touch with Shepherd Neame directly using the contact details below.

But more importantly than the building itself, it’s the people that make The Peacock so special. Over the last 5 years we have built an amazing pub family. Our regulars have laughed together, supported one another, celebrated together and picked each other up through hard times. For some people, this pub is far more than just somewhere for a drink… it’s part of their life. ❤️

🌧️ Unfortunately we are going to have to cancel Bike Night tonight, the rain just keeps coming. 🏍️☔

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our Bike Nights over the last 5 years. It’s been an absolute pleasure hosting these evenings for you all — so many bikes, laughs, friendships and memories made along the way. ❤️

The bikes, the BBQ, the busy bar, and the incredible atmosphere we’ve all come to love… let’s make this final one the best yet.
