Thursdays: This is our regular Modern Jive weekly class night, with teacher, dancer and performer, the intermationally renowned Nina Daines. Beginners and Intermediate classes with social dancing inbetween, and for the last hour afterwards. Jive+ is proud to run the famous and well regarded Thank Friday it's Freestyle!, probably the longest running and best known social freestyle evening, playing unusual and challenging tracks to interpret. Every 1st Friday of the month. Jive+ also runs Oxford Blues, offering a bi-monthly Blues freestyles sometimes with an Intro to Blues class @ 8.00 pm. The music is a mix of Bues of all kinds, from Trad Blues from 30s and 40s, through to more modern progressive Blues. Most tracks have a steady beat and are not all slow....
We also run regular Modern Jive freestyles at the weekend, playing popular tracks to Modern Jive to, often lively, but mixed tempo, with some lesser known music dropped in.
