Founded in the 1920s by ex-servicemen, Green Lane Ex-Services Club was created as a place for former soldiers to reconnect, socialise, and support each other after the war. Set in a quiet residential area of Leasowe’s Avenue, Coventry, the club has stood as a beacon of community spirit for over 100 years. Originally built from two wa

rtime air raid shelters donated to the people, this venue is steeped in history and filled with stories of resilience, friendship, and local pride.

💙 Supporting those who support our community. 💙

We’re incredibly proud to have sponsored tomorrow’s Coventry Foster Carers Association appreciation event by providing our function room, chair covers and venue dressing completely free of charge.

Foster carers make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children every single day, and this is our small way of saying thank you for everything they do.

As part of our commitment to the local community, we also offer our room free of charge to local charities and community groups wherever we can. If we can help organisations making a positive impact across Coventry, we will.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising tomorrow’s event, and to every foster carer for the care, love and stability you provide. ❤️

🌱 A FRESH START FOR GREEN LANE

The club isn’t perfect.

The gardens need attention.
The building needs investment.
Membership needs to grow.

But every successful community venue starts with people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make a difference.
