Following the tragic passing of Denis, a number of people have mentioned a go fund me. We will be placing a plaque on the table that Denis used daily so thought we could use to help with the funeral costs. The link is https://gofund.me/241059c02

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we say goodbye to one of our much-loved regulars, Denis.

Denis was a familiar face here at The Devonshire Arms — whether sitting under the tree at the front of the pub, standing outside in all weathers with a can of Diet Coke and the occasional cheeky glass of white wine, or bright and early at 7am enjoying a cup of tea.

He will be deeply missed by all the team, our guests, and the wider Wyken community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Denis’ family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Denis. You will never be forgotten ❤️

After a couple of years with us, completing her apprenticeship and keeping the kitchen soundtrack on point, she’s heading off to try something new.
