Shire Gathering is approaching quicker than ever!

Every year The Shire Horse hosts our annual festival called Shire Gathering. This will take place on the 4th of July from 1pm to 11pm. There Is something for everyone on this special day. We have food stalls, bouncy castles and of course multiple different live bands throughout the day. Each band involved has generously given their time and talent to help this important cause. This day is used to raise money for an important charity called Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimers Society is a leading UK care and research charity dedicated to supporting anyone affected by demential. It focuses on three core pillars: providing practical and emotional support, funding life-changing research and campaigning to improve dementia care and policies on a national level. Dementia is a disease that affects multiple people and families. This charity gives advice and practical guidance for the next steps as people living with dementia navigate the hardest times of their lives. The Shire Horse is proud to host an event that combines great music , community sprint and charitable giving. Funds raised during the festival will contribute towards vital support services, research and awareness for Alzheimer’s and dementia. The Festival highlights the incredible generosity of local businesses, performers and attendees. Each ticket purchased and donation made helps contribute to the fundraising effort.
