WHAT AN EVENING! 🍷🇫🇷❤️

Last night, we brought a little taste of France to Three Wise Monkeys Colchester, and what an incredible experience it was!

A huge shoutout to our talented kitchen team, who put together an outstanding menu, and to our wonderful independent w**e supplier, Streetw**es, who we’ve proudly worked with for years across both our Colchester and Ipswich venues. Together, they created a fantastic evening of delicious food, beautiful French w**es and perfectly matched pairings 🍷🍽️

And la pièce de résistance? Our spectacular croquembouche, a French profiterole tower that was the perfect way to finish the evening! 🇫🇷

Most importantly, it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, discovering new w**es and sharing such a brilliant evening with us ❤️

What makes a jazz record work on the dancefloor? For legendary DJ Paul Murphy, it’s all about the groove.

Ahead of The Rhythm Loft #3: Closer to the Source, Ben Howard of Keep Colchester Cool caught up with Paul to discuss the roots of jazz dance, his iconic Jazz Room days at the Electric Ballroom, and why the sound continues to connect generations.

Proud to be a Founder of TuckIN 💜🐒

Three Wise Monkeys Colchester has officially been recognised as one of the founding businesses supporting the TuckIN initiative, working alongside Colchester City Council to help make food better across Colchester.

And there’s another part of this we’re pretty proud of… 👀

To take part in the scheme, businesses must hold a Food Hygiene Rating of 3, 4 or 5 following their most recent food inspection.

Our latest inspection by the Environmental Health team took place just over a month ago, and we’re very happy to say we received the highest possible rating: 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As part of TuckIN, we’ve also pledged to look at things like reducing salt and sugar, using better oils and frying techniques, offering water and sugar-free options, portion sizes and continued staff training, all while still serving the food you know and love.

A lovely bit of recognition for the team and another 5/5 we’re very proud to have behind our kitchen 💜
